when we speak a particular language does it affect the way we look at things?

Yes it does affect how we see things because in the English language we see that we use masculine words to refer to anything. For example, when we "The Doctor has to examine a cancer cell, he can't quite come up with a clear conclusion."

Yes, actually language does affect the way we perceive things. It relates back to "gender stereotypes", for example in many cultures language is often male-dominated.
