hindsight bias refers to the tendency to view outcomes as inevitable and predictable after they are known. Couterfactual thinking refers to thinking about alternative realities that are counter to the facts as a way of mentally reversing such as (what if ...)

hindsight bias is when you see the answer very easily after you have heard the answer,its when you get that "ohhh i knew that"
counterfactual realities: is like putting yourself into situations that haven't occurred. For example when a teenager comes late from its curfew the parents might be like "what if someone had kidnapped you"
