What did Pavlov do to come up with the classical conditioning?In other words what was his experiment?

well his experiment at first was simply a mistake because he wanted go study the digestion system in dogs. before conditioning:so he first rang a bell that had no response, but he noticed that by giving thge dog food(US) it would make it salivate(UR). during conditioning: he would ring the bell(CS) followed by giving the food(US) to the dog and making it salivate(UR). finally after conditionng as soon as he would ring the bell(CS) the dog began to salivate(CR) even if it did not see food because he expected to recive food after thering of the bell.
