Cognitive learning is a powerful mechanism that provides the means of knowledge, and goes well beyond simple imitation of others while Latent Learning is the type of learning that occurs, but you don't really see it (it's not exhibited) until there is some reinforcement or incentive to it...
Latent learning: is a form of learning that is not immediately expressed in an overt response; it occurs without obvious reinforcement to be applied later.
Cognitive learning: is the result of listening, watching, touching or experiencing.
The difrence between cognitive and latent learning is that latent learning is something you gain through watching but you don't really use it...and cognitive is something you aquire from exspiriance and have knowledge of it when you need it.
